Resizing - Urgent Help Required!

Firstly there will be some cropping of the shot to fit the locket. ( I don't mean resizing)

I would then cut the outline of the locket, paste it into a new doc say a 6x4....... then resize the locket shape to fit 2cm x 1.5 cm..... then fill the photo into the cut out locket... You will need to use the transform tools to resize original photo to the size of the locket.......... This is where you can move the crop shape to suit your photo. Print. Then with sharp scissors cut the photo out to suit the locket.

Hi Tom,

Thanks for the speedy reply! I've already cropped the shot in Elements as small as I can.
I'm probably being stupid but I'm a bit lost when you say to cut out the locket and paste into a new doc. Is there anyway of explaining this any clearer (think 2 year old child - my editing skills are that bad :))

As they say, it's not you - it's me!

Don't bother cropping as small as you can yet, leave the image as is.

I don' have elements so I am unsure if you can cut out the locket shape from the Samuels photo.

I am only typing from a tablet so I am unable to do some tests for you....hopefully someone will be along soon with elements knowledge.

In fact, when I get home, I will do it for you and hopefully will be of good enough quality for the pressie.

That should print at the correct size. You'll just need to trim it to the heart shape. Most lockets have a paper template inside that you can remove and use to trim accordingly.

If that fails to print PM me your email and I'll send it to you.

Guys, thank you so much. I can't try it tonight as the little one in the pic has just decided he doesn't want to sleep!! I will have look in the morning though.
Thanks again. This, for me, is why TP is such a nice place to be

Here you go...I will send you the original via email if you PM me your address
