Arrrrrgh, how do I resize an image in Photoshop CS5, so that it is 8 x 6?

I do it, but when I upload it to Photo Bx it says the quality is low :(

But when I do it in Irfranview it seems fine, but it changes the colours :(

Thanks for the link, but how does this show how to resize an image? :)

Done it, thank you.... I'd been trying to figure it out for hours :o

God knows, I just want to resize my images without having to crop half of them out. Please can anyone help me with how I would resize and image to 8 x 6 without losing quality?

It shouldn't do. Are you saving as sRGB in both apps?

Hi yes I think so, not sure how to check on Irfranview...

Basically whenever I save an image I edited in Photoshop in Irfranview, regardless of weather I actually change anything in Irfranview when I open it back up and and compare it with the original the colours have changed and the one from Irfranview looks washed out :(

I would appreciate anyone's help :)

The first image has the aRGB profile embedded within it. The second image has no profile and will be probably have been saved and displayed as sRGB by default. A colour-managed application with a calibrated monitor will show little difference between the two.

In PS you want to go Edit | Colour Settings and change the Working Spaces | RGB setting to sRGB.

Hello, thanks for your help. Should I get my lapt screen calibrated? Can you see a difference?

Also the RGB one first started out as a RAW and shows 8* and the sRGB/8 one was edited as a jpeg. How come this makes a difference?

My workspace is set up as sRGB (sRGB IEC61966-2.1), but when I edit a RAW it seems to become RGB and I do not know how to make RAW original images sRGB or just 8. I have tried deselecting RGB when I go save as, but this seems to make no difference.

I am going crazy lol.

I really appreciate your help :)

Hello, I have also looked at the option below colour settings, assign profile and it seems the RAW's have a profile of RGB as you said and the jpegs no profile. Will this make a difference in printing?

Also if I copy and paste the RGB/RAW image into a new thing on PS the copied version will become sRGB 8, but the colour will stay the same.
