Resetting windows xp password

My dad has forgotten his windows xp password. Is there any way to reset his password? Or alternatively log into another account on the machine s there's nothing on there that cannot be deleted?

Unfortunately there is no option to login as administrator. I have tried putting
Admin
admin
Administrator
administrator
Owner
owner

in the username box with blank password by not luck

My solution would be to overwrite it with Manjaro or Ubuntu Linux and be done with it
