Just bought a Sandisk card (32GB for about £13 from Amazon) and it included a voucher for ResuePro software. I've seldom needed to try to recover data, but there's always a first time. Has anyone used this, and is it worth cluttering up the hard disc?

Keep it in the 'I hope I don't but I might need this later' drawer next to the haemorrhoid cream :)

Never had to use it in anger but have recovered files from a "wiped" and "formatted" card (formatted and wiped in camera and in computer) as a test.

Yeah it works just fine, but they do pester for years to get you to upgrade/renew as the 'give away' software with the more expensive cameras is usually time limited to a year of so. Luckily I have not needed to recover anything for about seven years now and there are plenty of free options to do so out there.

Never had any communication from them about it. Mine was on a disk though.

Thanks guys. Maybe I'll install & register it then.

I shot a wedding a bit ago, thought I had downloaded a SD card full of images onto my laptop but somehow did not. I then proceeded to format the SD card before I realised my error. I had a few minutes of panic before I put RescuePro to work and it recovered images from the formatted SD card with no issues. Saved me from considerable embarrassment. As mentioned above, definitely worth having but you hope not to use it.

ive given the software away for free on here and some have used it with some success.
Someone gave it me for free on here..( :ty: ) and I managed to recover all the photos from my Daughters wedding that I had left on my sd card when I formatted it.
Excellent bit of software, highly recommended, nothing else seemed to work.

Don't install it till you need it as its a time limited offer, I've used it a couple of times for me an also for other members in the past, it's always got what I expected back and then some
