Loaded fast enough for me (and I'm an impatient beggar when it comes to web pages loading - if it takes more than 5 seconds to be useable, I'm off!). IE 10, Win7 if that's a help.

Fast enough here too.

Using an out of date version of IE and a woefully slow connection speed on an oil platform in the North Sea. :)

A little slow for me but that could be the beloved corporate network and using IE 8!!!

On a side note.... carcking images :)

A little slow on 5 Mps connecting with Ipad over wifi. Initial images are quick but as you scroll down just get grey lines for a bit.

The initial page took about 8 seconds before anything appeared, but then scrolling through the photos was quick, although I too did see a few grey lines before a new photo was loaded occasionally. Using Google Chrome with Windows XP on an ancient P4 PC which the lack of processing power will probably be the reason for the initial delay...............

Thanks for testing it mate... Bit slow for the home page but glad it was ok after that.

I think it looks like overall it's ok on speed if not lightening quick so cheers to everyone who's tried it for me

Andy, checking your site using Google Speed returns an F grade and with Yslow, a C grade.

You may want to look at decreasing your page load times as google can rank you down for having a slower site.

Oh bloody hell... so I've fixed one issue and created another in the process? No idea how to reduce the load time now tbh as it's got lazy loading and MAXCDN

It seems a lot of it is down to letting your server scale the images through html/css, rather than upload as the native size. This may be unavoidable without knowing much about CSS.

The other things could be improved by using the W3 Total Cache plugin.

If you're doing well on your rankings anyway though, it's probably not worth changing.

I'll keep an eye on it mate as was doing well (placed 3rd on Newcastle searches) before switching to lazy loading, but havent checked since :)

It is a weird experience...It comes across as slow (only on a measly 3Mbps link here in the south east countryside...However it is actually lightening fast considering how many pictures are being loaded...Now whilst I appreciate that, would lesser technically aware people appreciate that as well?

fine, firefox, win 7 and 30mbs fibre broadband

I'm noticing when going to portfolio, then say weddings then going into a wedding then pressing the back button I'm getting lots of "x's" coming up where there should be images.

If I press F5 they come back up so not quite sure what's happening, perhaps some cache issue?

Are you using IE? I've noticed something similar that doesn't come up with Firefox or Chrome

I'm not sure tbh... It's a bit of a now win situation I think in some respects and I can only hope really people aren't put off by it if one a slightly slower connection :)
