Bit of a niche request nowadays but my wife has a Samsung Galaxy 5inch media player (old school) that she uses for travelling and playing downloaded vids on. basically I supply them load it up and send her off on trains. she also has a Samsung s4 mini phone.

The media player is playing up maybe its old maybe its a SW issue but given its age and non supported its hard to troubleshoot. So I need to look at a replacement. Thoughts are a cheap large screen phone like the below as media players are out of vogue and a tablet will be to big as a 5inch screen is just right.

I have a Samsung Note 2 which I would get her but they are a bit pricey

No problem.

To be fair, I'm biased as I have one, but not being prepared to pay simply for a big name phone, I have to say I'm pretty impressed :)

looks like contract only though.
I will place a wanted add for a Note 2 just to see if anyone has one.
 
Shame 7" is considered too big. The Amazon Fire HD tablet is on sale today for merely £34.99 which I would say is cracking value.

Alternatively a sim free Wileyfox Swift running the latest cyanogen os is just £99 today. Absolute bargain for a very current android phone.
 
Resolution on the 7 is a bit poo and I would like smaller
