Just been looking at the Kirk LP-45 replacement foot that's available for the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VRII. Can anyone please tell me how it works?

All the other replacement feet I've had from Kirk for the bigger Nikon lenses just seem to bolt in place where this one somehow seems to slide into a locking cup.

F you look at the tripod foot on the mentioned lenses they have a knurled knob on the right hand side of the foot and a sprung release mechanism at the front, you apparently slacken or remove the knurled knob and its captive bolt, then release the spring mechanism to remove the foot from the lens collar, the fit the kirk version in the reverse manner.
