Hi all,a friend has a calumet genesis 200 strobe that has just blown the main bulb, calumet ones are £40,are there any that are cheaper that would do the job or should he bite the bullet and buy the genuine calumet spare

I saw "In the UK, the Genesis GF-series is priced identically to the Lencarta Atom system, which is the same thing. American pricing for the Cheetah Light and GF200/400 is also very similar, even for bundles." from this site http://www.lightingrumours.com/radi...onolights-available-calumet-4593#.Ur_cJbSOOI5

You might find that purchasing a few bulbs from the U.S. works out at a better price.

I'm guessing that's a different Genesis. Interfit mains flash is similar to Calumet, maybe contact them.

sorry Paul perhaps I wasnt clear, the modeling lamp is fine, its the strobe thats gone

What Paul said, although eBay offers a 200 w tube for £23 (no guarantee it'd be easy to make fit), I'd be more concerned about the danger involved in swapping it.

I'd be more than happy with the £40, replacement tubes for the three types of heads I have are £69, £79 & £229 each...

Paul
