
I've thought about this before but it seems far too expensive.
If you're considering buying one, you might as well try it in a shop and then take the risk... Decent big-name SLRs don't depreciate very fast... If you kept it a couple of months and then stuck it on eBay, you'd probably be better off than hiring it for a week.
And if you did decide to keep it, you save the rental fee.
I am looking to maybe swap systems and would like to try a couple of cameras (Canon 50D & 7D) for the weekend before committing myself.
