Rented property notice period.....

A lot of landlords try to use this as a legitimate reason to raise the rent when in fact a landlord can't raise the rent to cover his house insurance for the repairs to the property but they do try.

The house is pretty old and we were promised that it would be upgraded with the rental income which it was to a certain extent new kitchen was put in.The estate agents who made these promises then did a runner with everyones deposits etc:eek: The owner who lives in New Zealand found out about this before we did from a friend in Australia:D

The annual rent increase is normally detailed in the agreement - typically rpi+2%

It wasn't an annual rent increase it was an increase due to work done on the house.
