Renaming Images in Lightroom

Afternoon,

I have imported approx. 240 images into Lightroom, and would like to rename them with a relevant title followed by a number is this possible as a bath job?

It is easiest to rename them on import, but still possible afterwards (although I can't remember how without LR in front of me). TBH if you are just using LR you don't really need to worry about file names until export...

yeah i thought that would be the case but have already imported and started editting them.

Just had a look in lightroom and have found the option to rename but will only 100 at time, but when i select the next hundred it says they can not be renamed? i can only preume the count only goes to 100 but cant find where that is set to change it.

Personally, I do my renaming once I've sorted the images and deleted the trash, and not on import so that the filenames can be used in the ordering gallery.
