Removing sun flare

Is there a way to remove this horrible blobbing of flare ?
i've tried using the healing brush but it just makes it worse.

Leave it in Graham, the image looks great as it is.

Sometimes flare works, if not then just clone it out.



Just a quick effort, if you take your time it would be ok.

if you have CS5 it takes seconds select the sun flare select content aware fill and thats it. In this case it worked good sometimes it is not as good though depends on the image.
