I would like to be able to remotely fire two speedlites (430EX). will the Cactus Wireless Flash Triggers be up to this. If so, are there any uk dealers that sell these? I can only seem to find U.S. dealers. If there are any other options without spending a fortune feel free to suggest them.

Thanks

Dave, just have a look on ebay and you'll find like products.

Seems a bit of a hot topic lately; some people reckon they're great, others think it's just money down the drain. I have some that I rarely use because I now rely on a Nikon SU-4 and Speedlights with build-in optical slaves. Mine work but are a little bit tempremental.

The cactus V4s are supposed to be the best of the cheapo ones but I think it's only gadgetinfinity who do them.

At the end of the day it all depends on what you want them for; if it's hi-tech wireless then they might be a bit gash. For home studio or macro work then they're fine, providing you're au fait with using your flashes on manual setting

Thanks specialman. I am quite happy using the flash on manual. I don't want to spend a fortune on them but would like something reliable.

Thanks stu but that is for a studio flash. I am after one with 2 receivers for a Speedlight 430 EX.

i have and use cactus V4's

mine can sync up to 1/250 and are pretty good and work. distance wise i've had them fire at about 20m away but i very rarely shoot that far away, its a relatively inexpensive way to get into off camera flash.

UK ones arent that hard to find :)

I've used similar but was disappointed. however, for the money and manual settings why not....
surely you can just use one transmitter and two receivers...all on the same channel.
can't see a way of doing it more cheaply without lots of cable and random soldering
