Is there something like the ML-L3 for the D300s?

Had a quick look on Warehouse Express and could not see anything.

Thanks

I bought one off ebay for £3.65 posted works superb

There is but it uses an adaptor fixed to the hot-shoe and I think plugs in to the remote release socket on the front of the camera. I think it's called an ML-3 and is over £100. The D300s doesn't have a built in receiver of it's own like, say, a D90.
I've just brought an MC-36 programmable remote release http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nikon-MC-36-Camera-control/dp/B000C29JEO but that was about £120 odd too. Although there is a cheaper manual one the MC-30 about £40-50. Both of these are linked by a wire to the camera though.
Hope this helps?

I have the Hahnel release from Jessops, they also do radio triggers.. You could use Yongnuo RF-602s as a wireless releas for the camera as well as radio trigger for your flash.

have a look at RF-602 from "Flash in the pan" on here in the Classifiedsm area on TP or Jessops for the Hahnel jobs( about twice the price though) See the thread on these in Talk Lighting.

Thanks for the replies, I will have a look at all.

Ive got the Hahnel combi tf wireless release too

works well and really well made either use as flash trigger or in reverse as shutter remote

Does the £3.65 eBay one posted above work with the D300s?

I know it says D300 would that be ok for the 300s also?

Hold on, why on earth does the far more superior + expensive D300S doesn't have it while the D90/ D3000, even the D40 etc has?
I'm going to buy one for my D90 (although I don't really need it!!!), lol £3.65 is too cheap to be true, providing that it's working perfectly

It might be that those models are considered consumer models whereas the D300 upwards fall into the professional series... according to the Nikon website anyway. The pro series tend to be more industrial strength and perhaps the little thumb button remote isn't considered man enough?

£3.65 IS cheap I think I paid about £10.00 for mine when I had the D80.

I just use RF-602 trigger or the MC-36R. Doesn't seem worth it to go for an Nikon infra red trigger when there are far more reliable 2.4ghz radio based triggers out there for much much less.

or there's the YN-126 wireless remote - just to add my 2p's worth
