Remote shutter for Nikon D3/D300

Nobody come across these?

No experience with that one but I bought a wireless remote for my D300 from eBay. The vendor was Link Delight, it came from Hong Kong and only cost £7.50 plu £7 P&P. It arrived in just over a week and works fine

It looks like a copy of the Nikon MC-36. Hopefully it will work in a similar way. It is about half the price of the Nikon originals price on Ebay.

I got a cheap remote for my D200 off Ebay, but it didn't like being packed in my bag and the wire developed a short. :( I ordered a Phottix Cleon as a replacement last week off Ebay, and though I haven't used it in anger yet, it seems to work OK and seems well built. And only £25 for a remote that can be wired or wireless. :) I hope lasts longer than the cheap one I had. ;)

I just got my Phottix N1 for my D200, seems to work very well, looks well made, and cost less than £20 delivered. I think they are very popular among Nikon D200 owners and seem to have a good reputation for quality. Also, it came from HK in less than 5 days.

Another Phottix lover here.
I got mine from another forum member (thanks Kev) and it works great.

Hi Lee,

What you want is one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Phottix-Cleon...227193671QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item180227193671

Got 2 for my D300 and Fuji S3. Finally sorted with the correct N8 version today.

They did mess up and send me 2 N6's which are for the D70s/D80, but sorted out now. Superb bit of kit for basically peanuts!

Kept the N6's as I could not see the point of messing around and got one left but sadly will not do for yours.

Regards

Chris

Hi Lee,

Not sure how it has happened but I have ended up with 4 N8's which as explained will do for the D3! If you want one send me a pm.

Chris

Hi Chris

You have a PM!

Hi Flashy,

Just tested it. Put camera at end of my kitchen and went onto my landing. That is going through one outside wall as my kitchen is an extension, through my study and past another solid block supporting wall. About 30 ft total!

Pretty impressive I would say. I think they are likely to be radio but have not got my scanner handy to check. It does say they are on the box and they do have dip switches for different channels which implies radio once again.

Regards

Chris

Fantastic, thanks for doing that! I bought an IR unit a couple of years ago that is pants... this sounds much better. I often take 'VR' shots of the interior of properties using a one shot 360 degree VR lens so have to step out of the room to actuate the shutter (otherwise I'll be in the shot), this'll make life easier. Cheers.......... Flashy

Just got it today and chuffed with it.

I've set my camera up in the arena 60m away with the wide angle lens on had some fun.

Thanks again Chris!
