Remote for EOS50?

Hi,
I upgraded to an EOS50 from an EOS400 about a year ago. I've been trying to get the 50 to work with the RC-1 remote from the 400, but can't seem to get it to work. :thinking:
Am I missing something, or have I got to get another remote?

The xxD range uses a different remote to the xxxD range. I think you need an RC-80-N3 whilst the 450D uses the RS-60-E3.
 
I only had my 50D for a short while, but I cannot remember it having an infra red port.

I do not know if this is any help, but the Hahnel Hahnel HC-50D grip (now discontinued but still available) includes a remote.

Bought the RC-300, arrived today.
Looks OK for the money, but no instructions. :thinking:
Worked it out pretty quickly though. Seems to work OK, need to try it out over the weekend.
