Remote Control for Nikon D3000

I have recently purchased a 2nd hand Nikon D3000 which came with a little infra-red remote control, I am wondering if anyone knows of a remote control that will actually plug into the camera as the IR one only works from infront of the camera, which is not very helpful for the majority photos I take.

strangely enough I bought one this morning for an event I have to de next month.
Nikon do make their own but I opted for a phottix the N10 would fit your camera

Try the rf 603n on amazon. It is a remote for using your flash off camera but also works as a remote control and has good range. Great bit of kit for 20 quid

+1 for the RF 603N. got one off here a little while ago and it works fine and has a good range.

Not sure the D3000 supports any wired remote controls - there are none mentioned in the manual, only the ML-L3 IR remote. There used to be little mirror arrangements available to allow the remotes to be used from behind the camera. Or use the remote with a short delay.

I get thru there so I but the o es for like 2 quid off ebay. The IR ones suck as they destroy batteries
