"Remember me" not working

I'm sure there was a thread about this but I can't find it. Anyway, recently the "remember me" for login and password doesn't work. Usually about every three to four days I have to enter my details again. I have the cookie for the forum protected - any help would be appreciated.

This only happens when I delete temporary internet files or cookies - then I can never remember my password :bonk:
 
What do you mean, you have the cookie to the forum protected?
 
Marcel - it's ignored when I clear the cache and TIFs etc.

Ahh gotcha.

First off I'd suggest unprotecting the cookie, then clearing them.
Clear cookies, clear cache, then restart browser, and log back in again.

I'll have another search for that thread for you, should hopefully shed some light on it.
 
Well, looking through previous threads, it seems that a clear of cookies does indeed solve the problem usually. IE Forcing the server to recreate the cookie on your machine.

So did doing that sort it?
 
It's Sunday morning and it's still remembered me. I'll keep monitoring it - thanks Marcel.

The PC might remember you but I can't:thinking: , maybe you should give me some cookies :clap:
 
OK - it's now Monday evening and I've just opened Talk Photography - guess what - it hasn't remembered me and I haven't cleared any cache, TIFs etc. I starting to get well and truly p****d off.

PS - it does it with any forum not just Talk Photography.
