Relaxing after photography with a tipple!...

this threads got me reaching for the booze cabnet.

Tuaca is current favourite but am runing out
also a big fan of red wine
Jack and coke
Brandy
White wine
Cider
BEER

Pretty much anything that i have to hand. Some things you learn at Uni will stay with you for a life time :)

Innocent smoothies!!

Strawberry and banana or pineapple coconut and banana!

An ice cold bottle of Aspells Norfolk Cider goes down a treat. And if you have five then you reach your '5 fruit and veg' quota..............

Turkish red wine for me at the moment. Takes a bit of getting used to and it's always better once you get halfway down the bottle

Mmmmmm, Turkish wine  Got very drunk on that once in Kalkan

There's also a very nice Kefalonian Red that I got a bit partial to while I was there :D

I think all of the alcoholic beverages mentioned above are very acceptable and also believe that after that lot we are all very grateful for auto-focus!

Mark

A glass or two of a good Amarone:love::love::love:

Hmm mine would be a nice cuppa tea! That or a Kopparberg pear cider :)

Jack Daniels with nowt in it except another for me, although I'll drink anything when the mood takes me, although I'm not a wine drinker normally.

Trouble is I tend to get a bit too relaxed. :D

I know, I've heard some of the stories!

I think for me its just a nice hot cup of tea.
Or if I'm tired. Rocket fuel.

I quaffed Jura for a good few hours at a bar in Catalonia - about 2" in a tumbler for €8. Brilliant.

Dalwhinnie is nice, but give me a bottle of 15 year old Glenmorangie and I'll be yours for ever.

I am in the lucky position that I have a business that sells wine. That said I get to taste some AWFUL stuff. I have a case of good Bordeaux Superieur (Chateau Senailhac) in the house at the moment which is taking turnabout with a case of Saam Mountain South African Cabernet Sauvignon. They also do a great Chenin Blanc which is just sooo good for the money.

Wine is probably my favourite tipple and love when I can open the real old and interesting stuff. That must be with friends though.

Now for the plug - I have 2007 Cloudy Bay in stock if anyone is looking for any.:whistling:

;)

ill drink it! i dont mind if its awful or good as long as it gets me drunk ill drink it even if i dont like it :D lol i have minesweeped a room b4 so ill down anything lol

wine thru a straw is good and red wine with coke cola is also ok :D

Any single malt, but preferably a fiery Speyside offering. Warmed gently to body temperature by cradling the glass in the hand to release the aromatic oils.

:) Steve

venomator dont knock it until u try it

 ... I don't think you can possibly know I haven't already Ashers ... :suspect: ... I did spend 9 years in HM's labour force after all ... :D

And anyway ... ... even the cheapest plonk is far too good to spoil with the crap they put in Coke ... imhgo ...

:p

and as i said ill drink anything and i a not to posh to minesweep :P

lmao oh u blew stuff up why didnt ya say that :P

I think you'll find they do more building than destroying in general, and if the expereinces of most of my friens in the forces are anything to go by Venom has almost certainly consumed far worse than red wine and coke!

A quick check of your profile soon explains the drinking problem, I would have guessed student and youngish! I remember those days and I too drank worse than red wine and coke without ever having red wine and coke, you'll get over the drinking just to get drunk thing enjoy it while it lasts!

lol i know i do im a student too lol.... i had lager with white wine, vodka, urine, fag ash and milk all mixed together, thru a funnel :D i was sick lol

i learned that initiation ceremonies were badddddddd

Guiness for me, also partial to a nice merlot.
Slippery nipples are gorgeous as well - Baileys and Sambucca.

Another whiskey drinker here, although I'll fly the flag for bourbon and take a large measure of Maker's Mark over ice (to relax) or a very large measure of Wild Turkey with Cherry Coke (to, *cough* 'celebrate).

dont mention coke to venomator lol

 ... it's a bit like golf spoiling a good walk ... Coke spoils anything decent it comes into contact with ... :suspect: ... we are talking the brown, fizzy liquid stuff are we ... :naughty:

:p

A (very) large glass of 12 year old Bowmore sinle malt with one ice cube - thanks to LadyLens in a previous thread that I'm buggered if I can find right now :bonk:

Previously it would have been a nice 15 year old Solero Reserve Glenfiddich. But oh that Bowmore

Well this title suggests that you need an excuse to drink
Isn't that what alcoholics do? need to find an excuse,
That begs the question are all 'togs alcoholics
or all alcoholics 'togs?
Me? I don't need an excuse to down a large Pernod and coke,
that doesn't make me an alcoholic does it? :D

I've opened a rather nice 12 year old Glen Moray single malt as a result of this thread......thank you ;)

a nice tumbler of Jackie D and Coke mmmmmmm

cobr u would have thought u snakes stuck together u and venomater are gonna have a snake scrap over coke lol.

and all artistss suffer for their art. photographers sculpters, painters, alcohol seems to be something that happens alot with artists, as was drugs such as opium and such in ye olde days, when some members of this forum where but kids, when picasso and da vinci lived :P

i am currently drinking vermouth but it tastes horrible :S but im alternating between that and lager

I'm glad to see there are so many whisky drinkers about  - personally my favorite bottle was the 1974 Ardbeg or the 21 year old Springbank, but I've finished both of those now :'(

At the moment I have a very nice 1972 Brora, 1979 Port Ellen and 1977 Ardbeg on the go, along with what I call my standard set 16yr Lagavulin, Bowmore Dawn (port casked) Bowmore Darkest (sherry casked) and Laphroig. As you can imgine I like my Islay malts, preferably with some age .

I do have a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label - but I keep it for visitors or cooking :gag: it's not worth the money IMO

However, due to the lack of any decent (16yr+) malts in most pubs most of the time I'm a Cider Drinker that enjoys a good Dry Cider (preferably Somerset Srumpy e.g. Thatchers please but will live with Strongbow or Magners) although Gin & Slimline Tonic (with Lime) and Bourbon & Diet Coke are in my pub choices too.

It's just occurred to me that perhaps 15 year Glenmorangie with a drip of water, warmed in the hands, and alternatively a gin and tonic with lime, are probably not common tipples for a 19-year-old student...

I think I'm middle-aged :D maybe I'll live longer if I go back to Carlsberg.
