Rehoming mature cats - He's back again

Sorry to revive this thread, Ive had a sort of mini brain wave I think with regards to the old cat wandering off when I let him out.

Was thinking of investing in this:

Wondered if anybody had used anything similar on their pet?

Could save me a lot of headache next time I let him out I reckon.

Still quite a large thing for a cat to carry around. What's the battery life on it? Unless it is really good you know he'll wander off the minute it goes flat

Has your sister poo-pooed the idea of having the old guy to be an indoor cat with his other cat companion?

Thing is though, I reckon once he's been out a few times, got lost and Ive found him and shepherded him back home, he might start learning. Assuming it works ok over reasonable distances.

Not really but if he's to be an indoor cat, he's got more space at mine so makes sense to stay there I thought.
