Refurbished cameras

Looking into buying a canon powershot S5. I think i'm going to go for that one after many months of looking and thinking..

Anyway..amazon sells them new for £240. But there are refurbed ones on canons fleabay shop for £86 (starting price).

Is it worth saving money and going for a refurbed one or best putting a bigger hole in the bank balance and buying a brand new one?

And does anyone have experience on the S5 for motorsport photos?

If you're worried about the refurbished in terms of quality/authenticity etc then u should be fine, i got a Canon 350D from there and its been fine so far and much better then paying full whack for a new one

I think all the refurbs from Canon carry a 12 months warranty.
