Ref : Metz 15 MS-1 wireless digital Macro Flash

As I am trying to find a ring flash, Iwas recommended the above Metz. I have a Canon 5D mk3 , so as i understand, I would have to have a normal flash mounted to trigger the Metz, Or am I missing Something?

It's tiggered from its own wireless unit fitted to the hot-shoe.

Looks like a good ring-flash. For less money, the Marumi has a good rep (also available under a few different brand names) though is relatively basic.
