I have one

Yes it does have internal dividers and a few little side pockets for accessories

It can be used as a shoulder bag but never really got on with it like that as the top half of the rucksack folds down and gets zipped up to form the top flap of the shoulder bag, it always seemed too top heavy and bulky as the 2 rucksack straps and piece of padding are at the top.

always found it comfortable as a rucksack

I can do you a picture or two tomorrow at some point

I forgot to ask can you attach the tripod to this ?

If you could post some pics that would be fantastic

Here are a couple of pics as promised first one shows inside second the 2 zipped side pockets.

As for carrying a tripod not sure never tried I think there is some sort of carrying arrangement under the green flap, not at home this evening will have a look tomorrow and let you know

As you can see from the photo a monopod fits ok but you may struggle with a tripod I don't have one to try

Hope the photos help

Thanks Mark

really appreciate your help, now to decide do I go for this one or the gem, I can see this one being more handy as I can store non camera gear in the top bit

thanks again

Hi, I also have this backpack, which I got specifically so that I could take camera + couple of lenses in the base, and other bits and pieces in the top (such as when out with the rest of the family, and need to carry snacks for kids, etc).

In that respect, it works fine - though it takes a bit of getting used to the fact that the top half hinges backwards when you open the bottom section.

Agree with Mark regarding using it as a shoulder bag - don't bother!

For the price it is hard to beat.

I have one.

I don't use it in shoulder bag mode as you loose all the "odds and sods" storage so theres no where sensible to put memory cards etc. This is one area that it could to better imo more pockets in the top.

The bottom takes a SLR with a kit type lens easy enough with enough room for 2 lenses and a flash or similar. If you have a larger camer or a grip you might struggle there and have too lose 1 lenses/flash units.

It's pretty comfortable, though you need to be careful putting it on as the shoulder straps don't have a sewn up fold so the buckle can (and has) slide off. I need to see if I can put something on the end to stop this.

For the price it's hard to beat, the closest rivals will only take the camera gear and not have the room for a mac/food etc.

Just out of interest how are people packing the bottom:
I have camera + kit lens left, lens top center and mini binos right. Empty bottom centre atm.

edit: forgot to mention the rain cover which is another nice feature. Not tried it yet but it seems like it should keep the bag dry if your caught short.
