Redsnapper tripod but which head?

I am just about to order a redsnapper tripod, but dont know what head to get. I need one to hold a D300 and 70-200VR, total weight of just over 2.2 kg and easy to adjust.
Anyone with any experience of the ball head or would the 3 way be better?

The ballhead works just fine with my 1D and 70-200 2.8 so can't see it being a problem with your kit.
