Might be a daft question but whats the thickness of the Arca Swass Clamp's base and whats the mounting hole diameter please? Im away from home and dont have my tripod to check the measurements.

The Arca-Swiss quick releases are 20mm thick. They may have a 3/8"-16 hole or 1/4"-20 hole. If the larger you can put a 3/8-16 to 1/4-20 bushing in to change to the smaller. Most tripods are 3/8-16 for head mounting except very small ones. Heads may have usually 1/4-20 top screws.

And thanks for the reply, im after the base thickness not the overall thickness. Ive made a copy of a wimberley sidekick and need to put a chamfer on the end of the bolt im going to use to secure the plate to the arm so it will countersunk.

I have a redsnapper tripod thats why i was asking for the dimensions of their clamp.
