This is a mini project I am doing. I have shot redscale in autumn and winter and tonight I'm going looking for blossom trees.
Well a bloke needs a hobby. :)

Yes, I don't understand either?

The redscale technique, where the film is shot through the base. I'm on my phone and can't find an example but I'll try to upload something later.

So you're shooting it back to front?

Sounds great, can you post up some of your autumn and winter shots?

:agree: ive got a roll waiting to be developed that i took eerrrr ,,,,months ago , but they are just random tosh ,,,( like all my other photos ) good idea to actualy do a project with it .did you buy it as a lomo thing or did you turn it yourself @RumpFace

That's basically it Nick.
Due to how the light reaches (or doesn't as the case may be), thé film émulsion, renders the image with a red, orange, yellowish tone .... Tends to vary between different films.
Tbh it's not really an effect that appeals to me although i suspect that some shots can look good depending on subject content.

I've done my own and used the lomo stuff. I've got access to a darkroom and obviously I'm used to handling film. I'll post some more this evening if I get the chance.

How did you reload it? I've got a changing tent so have enough room to fiddle with a roll of vista to try it.

You need a donor film and a spare 35mm cassette with a bit of film left on and a bit of tape. It helps if the processer knows what you've done but not imperative. You also need to open up by 2 or more stops from the box speed.

Cool, I'll try that. I've got a couple of re-loadable cassettes I can use.

I'm off to the coast in October and am taking some film and some of that will be redscale.
