Red wine opinions

Lindemans bin 50 is a really nice red wine.

Think I'd recommend starting off accompanying your red with some suitable food - the combination of the two might help to appreciate the wine a bit more - a nice steak or lamb roast, some strong cheese or my own personal, slightly bizarre preference, a well refrigerated flake chocolate bar :D

As for wines to try, a nice pinot noir or Beaujolais should be reasonably light and fruity and not knock your head off.

This is a truly beautiful drink if you can find it anywhere:

I got a couple of taster bottles ...

Currently drinking a glass of J.P Chenet merlot.

Says it goes down well with strong cheeses and meat. I am drinking mine with a bowl of coco pops.

Going down rather well. Its very nice!

Maybe they should add that to the label, can see it now, meat, cheese and coco-pops .......lol

Sainsburys/Tescos do their own Valpolicella, only £3 something a bottle so not too expensive to try. It's very light and very quaffable and I like to drink it chilled :lol:

I can only hope the wine isn't on the coco-pops?:D

One of my favourites - 2005 Campo Viejo Rioja Reserva. Usually £9-10 a bottle but quite often a third off at Sainsburys and extra % off when buying 6 bottles. Very nice with all the BBQ food or a good steak.

Even better after the second bottle :naughty:

Forget the wine just open a bottle of henry Westons ...

.

I don't touch cider

I had too much of it when I was younger (well in the space of one night)

Lets just say I wasn't very well.

That's the one with the built in sobriety test isn't it? when the bottle neck begins to look straight, you've had enough :)
