Red Riding

I watched the first one, weird!!!!
Good storyline once you made it out though. Im not sure the 2nd one is linked to the first though. Will have to watch the 2nd one.
Dean:)

They are all linked to each other and there are characters throughout the three separate pieces of the jigsaw, at various stages of their lives & careers. They were three separate books by David Peace which were fabulous, if a little grim. There are no real redeeming features to them............no happy endings, and no real good guys. Keep your eyes on the Reverend!!!!!

I have to admit that I am glad that I read all three books because I would have struggled to really put the pieces together without doing so. There has obviously been a lot of editing of the storyline to make it accessible for TV, for anyone that is interested get a hold of the three books and lock yourself away.

There are a few characters in there that people may recognise from actual events that happened throughout the 70's and 80's. David Peace was sailing very close to the wind politically and in terms of the policing situation in Yorkshire / Greater Manchester at the time.

David Peace is also the author of Damned Utd about Brian Clough's brief reign at Leeds Utd during the 70's. It has just been released at the Cinema and should be excellent. Another brilliant book!

Chris :)
