Firstly I have to give a massive appology to you for reading this, I have not done a google search or a forum search because I'm just grabbing a quick 10 minute break in work and have not had time.

I'll be given a Sandisk 4gb Pro Duo "Magicgate" memory card (SD presumably as its from a compact) later which my Fiancee's freind has taken all her honeymoon pictures on and the card has corrupted. Sandisk advsed her they want £100 to just look at it and I advised there are software out on the internet that should be able to do this for her.

I need your help, What software (free) has worked foryou and managed to recover your files and photo's?

(apologies again if sandisk's website has this info on, but i simply have just not had time to check)

A Quick wim from our TP experts needed here guys and all advice is appreciated!

Sandisk have free software to do this

I got CDs with my Sandisk memory cards, but foolishly threw them away. Now, if you got to their website, there is no free software to download, just a link to the software maker's website, where they only provide trial downloads.

Hit the first stumbling block yesterday - My laptop wouldn't read pro SD cards...

So I have request the camera and lead to run the card from the camera. Hopefully sort this tonight. Thanks for your help so far guys!

I use Recuva, free download from Piriform.

My desktop, getting on a bit, will not read SDHC cards directly but is OK when I plug a USB card reader in, may be worth a try if you can borrow a card reader.
