I am all in favour of supporting independent vendors, so thought I would share my experience

Dealt with Peter Walnes recently (http://www.peterwalnes.com/) and was very impressed both with the item I bought (mint Tokina 12-24mm, which was genuinely mint), and the service I received. Item arrived at my office the next day without any problems. Answers to my queries via e-mail were also dealt with very efficiently :)

Obviously this is only my experience, and based on one transaction. However, the testimonials on the website would also support my view.

wanted to trade in my Nikkor 28mm non-Ai lens for a 28mm Ai version listed on his website

quoted me a generous trade-in, purely based on my description and emailed picture
sent my lens off - and was really surprised - and delighted - to receive the new lens [which is mint] before even paying for the Invoice Balance

EXCELLENT Customer Service ... will use again..:thumbs:
 
he's been in the trade so long I'm sure he must of sold plate cameras - but has an awesome reputation!

agree - he actually phoned me to check that the lens arrived ok and I was satisfied with it

customer serve 110%..........:thumbs:
 
I've also bought from him a couple of times and have found him to be friendly and helpful on both the phone and by email. I'd happily recommend him.
