Recommended labs for prints

Hi all,
I'm after some prints (9*6 and 10*8) from various different black and white films. Does anyone have any recommended labs? I see Ilford photo do enlargements and should do a good job, but wondered if it was worth just taking them to the local boots/jessops?

Can a regular fuji frontier or noritsu machine knock out decent quality B&W prints?

you will probably find that most of them dont do B&W at all!
 
If you're after a decent hand print have a look in the back of amateur photographer and B&W photography magazine. Plenty of companies in both offering B&W prints.

I can highly recommend Ilford's own lab. I know various people who have used them and the print quality is excellent.
 
I'd second Ilford Labs - i've had a few 35mm jobs done by them and they've been excellent.

I can stand you the uni darkroom for an afternoon if you want to try it yourself?

That's an awesome offer, and thanks. This time I'll get them done in a lab but may well take you up on it in the future!

They've gone off to Ilford this morning, a few from pan-f, fp4+ and hp5+ all developed in Rodinal. Hopefully I'll get some decent prints!

I accept payment in beer, film and sexual favours ;) (though L glass and hasselblads will be considered)
 
CC Imaging in Leeds offer both machine B&W and hand printing, i believe.
