There's a lot of people selling camera gear on eBay, and I have yet to see a list of the member-recommended sellers.

So here it is!

If you have had a good experience with camera gear sellers on eBay, post their eBay ID here, and I'll link it in the first post....

Kerso - 99.99% of the camera buying internet!

digital-rev - me

bearislandtc - me

link-delight - from Steep

denise.camera - from Milestone

online-photographic - from Milestone

cl_cl517 - from Milestone

thanks! good idea...if it drops too far off the page i will make it a sticky

Link-delights feedback is ok but I wouldn't recommend them just yet, lets see how quick they are and if everything turns out ok first. Unless someone else has used them before?

Ah well, the point being eBay sellers you would recommend :) I'll leave them up just now, but if you feel iffy about them by the time you get your stuff, I'll quietly drop them from the list ;)

Great idea, it is RDD ...

Would it be useful to have a (very) brief descriptor alongside each ...

I.e. ... Generalist or Specialist ... manufacturer or type/range of gear ...

:p

Might be worth a "recommended online seller" rather than just ebay seller thread / sticky. I've just bought from Morris Photographic and their service, price and delivery were fantastic

How about two threads? One for eBay, the other for sellers with their own websites?

Perfect!

Edit - I see you've started the other one

I have just come across this guy ... 247 Photographic and ordered some Nikon stuff from him ... he has 100% feedback on over 3K items ... cannot be that bad then ...

Seems to be primarily Nikon stuff ... across the board ... plus accessories and a good range at that ... :D

I bought a Jianisi remote cord from them which arrived just under two weeks later, which is sort of what I expected so was very happy with.

Then three weeks ago I used them again to order a hand strap, which still has not arrived. I did email last week and they said it was dispatched on the 17th and asked me to wait a bit longer. The waiting is not so good, but they did reply back quickly and I supposed if there is a problem in transit there is not much they can do (it would not surprise me if the local post office was to blame). If it does not turn up next week I will get back to them and see what they do then.

So on that basis I half recommend Link Delight.

Also want to recommend Hiltons of Hull, who also have a normal site and a normal store. I ordered a rocket blower from them via eBay (as they had the best price) and it arrived the next day. Several years ago when I used to be around the corner from them I used them in person a couple of times and they were very helpful then too.

Michael.

Received my remote from Link Delight today, it took 14 days to arrive from HK which is not bad. Works perfectly, though there were no instructions with it (it was pretty easy to figure out)

I'd be happy to recommend them now :)
