I'm looking for suggestions... again... similar to how I did in this thread recently, then sort of just bought a Yashica TLR instead.

What I'm looking for this time is something cheap that shoots 35mm, has manual settings on it..ie for exposure and focus etc but that is pocket sized, a meter might be nice too.. doesn't have to be accurate but consistent would do. Any suggestions?

One of the smallest slr camera is the Olympus OM20...cheap and nasty (IMO) but with the cheap 50mm lens it can take take very sharp pics.

I was hoping for something compact sized if at all possible though an OM20 is a bit smaller than my Nikon F4. I should maybe handle an Olympus and see..

Kodak Retina.. with a handheld meter or go with sunny 16. Very pretty, very compact, folding 35mm.

They look pretty nice Alastair, I should really sell something and get something like that.

Chris, I'm still running the first roll of Poundland special through my Retina Ia, but they are one of the best looking cameras I've seen. A delight to use.

Alastair the Retina is a great camera, if my memory serves me right it has a Schneider lens which is very good.

A Rangefinder of some sort? or any Olympus OM - OM1 is the most reliable out of the bunch.

I want something smaller than an SLR, the only small film camera I have is a Yashica T3, not a bad thing at all but doesn't allow you much control. (none)

Voigtlander Vito B? Small and cheap to buy, fully manual and a cracking little camera.

Andy

A range finder that has a very good lens is the Konica c35, not manual though...but if you can pick one up for £5-£10 you'd be pleased:-

Also I can recommended the Nikon L35 P@S, got mine for 50p:-

Those Vito B's look quite nice as well... anyone used the BL with the meter? This is how I end up with too many cameras again isn't it?

They look good as well Excalibur but don't give me much more than my Yashica T3 really.

Hey you are getting hard to please  ....my Yashica T5 annoyed me when it AFd past the subject (a kiddie) to the back ground, so don't bother to use it.

I'm finding I'm getting rather poor at the moment which is making me be more careful what I 'waste' my dosh on :) (actually I'm just fussy)

My T3 is pretty good as a P&S to be honest, I just wish it was more creatively designed.
