We have two new arrivals in the form of a couple of pups. Obviously we want to keep them healthy, so need worming, de fleaing etc etc

The cost of this stuff is massive at the vets, so do you have any recommendations of reputable online suppliers of vet supplies?

thanks in advance for your help

like with most things online how can you be sure what you are getting is genuine?

Look at local pharmacies went round an Asda the other day and their pharmacy had pet flea a worming tablets.

That's exactly why I'm asking the question. I know it is an online minefield out there, but there must be reputable online suppliers out there. It's just knowing who they are, and if anyone has positive experiences of dealing with them, I'd appreciate the recommendation

They sell things like frontline and drontal plus branded foods etc. You may need to get a prescription from vet in some cases depending on chemicals involved etc. The stuff that is sold in places like Tesco and Asda is not usually very powerful because it is being sold with no advice being given for its use so it has to be safe for anyone to handle. Frontline, Drontal etc are not licensed for retail use. My vet actually recommended Vetmedsdirect so I would assume it is safe!

The Frontline flea treatment we use (to keep our fleas healthy!!!) is exactly the same from Sainsburys as it is from the vets'. We use a similar delivery process for the worm treatment but that seems to be prescription only from the vets' so we have to buy it there. (Maisie's not keen on tablets and can sniff them out even when powdered into her food - she'd rather starve than eat them! So we use the Drontal drops-on-the-back-of-the-neck which she doesn't enjoy much but does submit to.)

Mostly Hyperdrug for us, but also Vet UK (both direct and as a marketplace supplier on Amazon).

We use Drontal to worm and have used Frontline for fleas until giving Fiprospot a go for our last order.

I've used bardseymills.co.uk for horse and dog wormers, flea treatment etc for several years, have always delivered promptly so far.
