Hello and a Happy new year!

A good friend needs some "Business portraits" for his LinkedIn profile.
Any recommendations for a good location in London?
Outdoor/Indoor?

All suggestions appreciated :-)

Somewhere with a lot of glass would be interesting. Suggest around City Hall which is a great hunting ground generally: https://maps.app.goo.gl/nRWJ45FCHSauxxGq6?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

Also, Walbrook will be an interesting area for you as well, though not as intriguing as City Hall: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fKC84wyUHwfoS75K7?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

Good corp headshots often involve being high up with the cityscape behind/below. Therefore you’ll need a suitable balcony. A free (though busy) option is the top of the walkie talkie building: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fXY6HnV4Zrhe4fjcA?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

Also there’s a nice balcony on the front of the Tate Modern that not many people know about with a good view beyond, also free IIRC: https://maps.app.goo.gl/TaW6ScmKpvBjPtNCA?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

If you want some “tradition” then get into the city and shoot through the columns at the Royal Exchange with the Bank of England behind: https://maps.app.goo.gl/fhJAyqoE5kabVcG28?g_st=com.google.maps.preview.copy

If your pal is up for it you could have a brilliant time doodling around London.

Hope you have a great time but be aware that you will get about 30 seconds outside anywhere that has security on site before you are asked to stop/move if you look like you are shooting into or even the exteroir of the building. Standing on the pavement probably won't help much either.

These people are generally (in my experience) not for reasoning with and even if you are in the right can still rain on your parade.

Good luck

David
