I used to listen to anything Coldplay. Rush of Blood to the Head was my favourite, although their 2012 live CD is pretty good too.

Wish you were here is an obvious choice though!

Good call on wish you were here. I'm also slightly biased but I find tears for fears quite relaxing, in particular Roland's use of the piano in "Mr Pessimist", however it's probably not the type of musiC OP had in mind.
