My mum's had a folding motorola phone on Orange from the beginning of time that she is totally attached to, but now disaster has struck and it's broken.

Any recomendations for something cheap, simple to operate and reliable for a someone a little bit senior?

Only restriction is it has to use the same SIM (or at least the same contract she's on) as she has a stupidly good deal from the time Orange were price matching a Virgin mobile plan many years back.

This "little bit senior" uses an iPhone and Mrs "little bit senior" a Blackberry (don't limit your mum :) ) ... have you had a look on the Orange website for options?

Tin can and a bit of string. :D

Best thing to do is take her out and let her handle a few phones and see what suits her

Romeo done! :D

Loads of indestructible nokia 3510s and similar come up on ebay for about £10.
Battery lasts a week and gets signal where many newer ones especially smartphones don't.
Easy to unlock if not on orange but usually they are unlocked.
I have two and just leave them in vehicles.

Why don't you just pick up the model she has already on eBay? If it's a few years old you will pick one up for really cheap.

Thanks for the thoughts, and no offense meant to anyone who considers themselves a little bit senior ;)

I think a trip round town with a view to looking at the current generation of Motorola's might be in order
