I'm going to Manchester with my missus for two days (arrive early and then leave evening next day)

Would like to have your suggestions on interesting local attractions or an itinery.

Thanks!

salford quays good for a visit.. plenty of photography opportunites plus the lowry and war museum - and shops of course!

in town.. castlefield, museum of science and industry.. around town there's urbis and the wheel.. town hall and library.. northern quarter for graffiti etc

oh, if its shopping.. plenty all over (arndale / trafford centre)... clubbing and fine dining.. no idea as dont do it in town ;)

Urbis was closed last time I was in town - part of some refurbishment/repurposing.

Shopping: Trafford Centre or City Centre are best. Salford quays is good for photography but the mall there is pretty pokey and empty.

Museums: I have a soft spot for the Museum of Science and Industry

Attractions: Big wheel in town is pretty cool. Posh drinks in the Hilton Manchester Sky Bar is pretty cool if the weather is clear as you can see for miles.

Food/Drink: Chinese - Yang Sing or Little Yang Sing. Thai - Chaophraya. Steak - Gaucho Grill. Coctails - Room (quite smart) or Mojo (bit more grimy and rock music)

Thank you both for the suggestions, will look into these more.
