I've been looking at a small, portable flash unit for on location portraits as part of a personal project I'm hoping to start soon.

I was looking at something like the Godox AD360 or similar, but wondered if there were others I might want to take a look at? I used to have the Phottix Indra 500 but it was a bit overkill and weighed a ton which rendered it pretty useless for travel.

I do have a couple Lumopro / Yongnuos speedlights but I want something with a bit more power.

Any thoughts? Thanks

AD360 is a very good unit, and nothing to touch it for the price. Also available under various third-party brand names, like Lencarta Atom in the UK, Adorama Flashpoint, Cheetah Light, Interfit Strobies, Calumet GF400 etc. All identical to the Godox original.

Yeah I think I'm sold on it but the problem I'm having is there's a new Godox AD360 ii with a build in receiver and TTL but the others, such as Interfit don't have a Mk2 from what I can see.

Definitely get the mkII version, I have both and and the integrated receiver makes so much difference such as moves seamlessly to HSS, there is a Nikon and a Canon version (on camera connection) but both versions will work with Nikon, Canon and Sony off camera without issue http://shop.photomart.co.uk/lightin...-ttl-ad-360ii-n-bare-bulb-flash-head-kit.html (thats a Nikon but they also do Canon) https://www.essentialphoto.co.uk/pr...-ettl-ttl-portable-bare-bulb-flash-for-canon/ (thats a canon but they also do Nikon)

Yeah definitely want the Mk2. The only stockists I've found are UK based and one of them wants £100 for delivery to Abu Dhabi - which is criminal.

I order from B&H all the time and it's nowhere near that sort of price from the US.

Sorry Craig, what I meant is I can't find any of the brands stocked here, like interfit, that have the newer model for sale.

Don't suppose you know if any of these brands are stocked at b&h or any of the other big stockists that are likely to deliver to the Middle East?

Sorry Adam thought you were in UK, Adorama ship to UAE http://www.adorama.com/fplfsl360ck1.html no idea what service is like for things like that. I bought my AD600BM fulfilled by Amazon so amazon will handle warranty for first year. No idea what Amazon service is like over there?

Cheers Craig, so they do. I'll have a look into it. I've found a local stockists of the Godox ones, so I'll compare the two when I get a second!

Cheers
