I'm bored and fancy a new mobile but am not sure what to go for. I want an Android phone, large screen, decent storage (or expandable) and fairly quick (doesn't need to be super speedy but needs to cope general use). I don't want to pay too much for one (because I am cheap). Am currently using the original Moto G and have been looking at the second gen Moto G, Samsung Note 2, Moto X and the Amazon Fire phone. Any thoughts on any of those or recommendations of other phone.
 
HTC One M9...end of...get one now! Ok so you may need to remortgage your house, but still...
 
I've had my Sony Xperia Z3 since November and have to say it's the best phone I've ever had.

It's a bit on the large side but still fits into your pocket. Not tested it but it's meant to be fully waterproof too (can't remember the exact rating but something like 2m for 30 mins). Add to that 4K video and a brilliant camera it takes some beating :)

I've previously owned Samsung Galaxy S and S3 phones, it completely blows them away and I thought they were good phones.
 
Samsungs are getting more and more bloat on them - having gone through their Galaxy S range (currently on a 5) I don't think I'll get them again
 
Note 2 - cracking phone !

I bought one off here 2nd hand for about £100
 
i have the xperia z1 compact, the oh has the z2.. cracking phones and great camera too as an added bonus
 
Moto G 4G - can't beat it for the price.
 
..and I have the Sony Z3 compact if you want something a little more pocket friendly yet just as powerful as most of the top phones..!
 
Samsung.
Just lose the bloat. Not difficult.
 
Thanks for all of the recommendations so far (even if some of them don't quite fit the not paying too much part :) )

I was swaying towards going and having a play with the new Moto G and seeing what I thought of it. However I have been offered a good deal on a Note 2 and am going to go look at it in the morning.
 
Samsung s5 I've recently got mine I had previously an s3
The s5 is superb great battery life can change battery and put in more memory

it is indeed the only decent option around £100 mark. mk2 is supposedly a lot worse with battery life, which is much worse than smaller screen.

It is only a shame bastards won't bring out android 5.1 (yet?). I'll have to do it my own way soon it seems.
 
Note 2 for me brill massive screen loads of cheep cases spare battery for 10 quid
 
Don't laugh but how about an Elephone P6000, you can get them online for about £80, i'm about to pull the trigger on one as my latest phone has again died a death and i'm sick of paying hundreds of pounds for phones that last me a few months.
 
Well I couldn't resist the Note 2 - yes it is huge but seems like a really nice phone. The screen is great and given the size it will be ideal when out visiting relatives (for some reason having a tablet seems rude but no one questions having a mobile)! Also handy for sneaky watching TV while putting the youngest to bed.

Having sold my spare phone (because I wanted a change and the Moto G will now be the spare for when I drop something) it only cost me an extra £15 to buy the Note 2 and it came with a spare battery and a car charger which is handy.
 
I have a Samsung S4mini 11month old Spotless, Unused earphones, etc for sale, £150 inc P&P
