Hi guys im in the market for a new camera bag, the one i have at the mo is slowly running out of room and i find that with a camera grip and the tripod mount on its protruding out a bit. As per usual my funds are very limited but needs must ;)
Im currently using a canon 50d and need to house a 28-135, kit 18-55, 70-200 and hopefully a new 17-55. (will prob ditch the kit lens) As mentioned the 50d has a grip and i do tend to leave the pod mount on so looking for some depth.

What do you have in mind, shoulder/messenger, sling or rucksack type?
 
Good thing about sling is when out walking in MY instance, anything that does not fit into camera bag (sling) can go into my rucksack/daysack, tripod is a great walking stick.

Yes I'll be keeping an eye on this, I've tried two in the last week and not happy with either, so also looking for something different.
 
Looking for a rucksack type pag to act as storage as well as to take with me. I have a small pentax sling type bag which I use when on walk about which I love but only fits camera and lens!
 
Literally hundreds to choose from and a lot depends if you just want to take camera gear or other stuff like clothes and food, maybe even a tripod too

All the usual suspects like Lowepro, Tamrac, Vanguard etc do a wide variety of bags for different uses, search on here and the companies websites would probably be your best bet.

I have a Flipside 400AW, seemed like a good compromise to me and was comfy to carry on longer walks with a small amount of space for personal gear.

Recently went one stage further and bought a proper trekking daysack with frame, more comfy for longer walks plus larger space for personal stuff. For camera and lenses protection I butchered a small s/hand Lowepro Slingshot to use as an insert which fits nicely inside the rucksack.
 
I would suggest the f-stop smoky mountain backpack if you want something that just looks like a regular backpack, or the f-stop Kenti backpack if you'd like something made with mountaineering in mind that's a bit more weatherproof. Both of those bags fit the bill for a camera and gear plus space for other stuff like your lunch when out on a walk.

I used to swear buy Lowe pro but have since acquired 2 thinktank bags. Give them a look - great features and clearly made by people who understand photographers. :)
 
Lowepro Prorunner series - comfy and very roomy bags. The most useful space of any bag I've tried, no wasted odd little corners where the designer tried to get clever with curving or taking a wedge out of the design (unlike the Compurover series,which are huge but have much less useful interior space).
 
I've used a Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW for years now and its like having an extra pair of hands when you can't put anything down on a dirty floor area. These are not cheap but sometimes they come up second hand at a reasonable price.
 
I've been looking at backpacks for a few weeks now as my Lowepro Slingshot 202 gives me back ache if I have to walk far. I also wanted something a little larger like yourself.

I wanted to try before buying to make sure it was comfy and today bought a Tamrac Adventure 9 after trawling every camera shop in Cornwall (there aren't many). Seems really well made, well protected and very comfy so far. It will also fit a 70-200mm lens in no problem which is next on my wish list.

The only down side for me was it didn't appear to have anywhere to strap a large tripod, but on closer inspection the little feet on the bottom have strap holes through them. A quick search on the Tamrac site to see what fitted and a subsequent search on Ebay and they should be in the post.

This bag will easily hold what you list. I carry a 7d with a Tamron 24-70mm mounted most of the time, a Canon 10-22mm and the 40mm pancake. Also quite a few filters and the usual spare batteries, cable release etc. I still have enough room for my hopefully soon to be purchased Tamron 70-200 vc. This all fits in the "camera" part of the bag leaving loads of room in the large top section for other items. It also takes a laptop if it's something you carry, if not then it's a good place to stash a pair of water-proofs etc.

Me too. They come up on eBay quite often for a decent price. It's a great bag.

Agreed- the Think Tank "retrospective" in "Limestone" fabric is tops for me- beautifully designed and made, and much more subtle in its appearance than the great majority! (Their "Digital Hoster" range is also streets ahead of the rest of similar types of bag)
 
I've a Lowepro Mini Trekker and it fits my 40D in with a grip on (so should be deep enough) and you can hold plenty in it.

I think the Pro Runner is the new version of it and I seem to remember they do a few different sizes...
