Hi guys,

I am off to Milton Keynes on Friday to visit a mate for a night out however I plan to head up there and make a day out of it with the camera.

Does anyone have any recommendations on some good locations?

In terms of what I'm into, I will consider absolutely anything!

Campbell Park, Willen Lake, Furzton Lake, Linford Wood, Shenley Wood (an ancient wood)....

There's not really much here (or maybe I'm too used to the place). Some of the older villages like Woolstone, Loughton, Woughton-on-the-Green might be worth shooting..

just remember everything in Milton Keynes is either horizontal or vertical!!

The station. Quickest way out.

But Milton Keynes is great

Almost 6 years ago, my wife and I gave up smoking and, with the first month's money saved, we bought bikes and discovered the Redways and the lakes, the Milton Keynes you never see from the roundabouts and retail parks.

Willen Lake is lovely as is Caldecote lake, which has a marina so there may ne opportunities to photograph sail boats and wind surfers if they're out.

The city centre itself.. it's just so odd in it's layout and the way it makes you interact with it. For the more scenic shot head 15 minutes out to Stoke Bruerne.

Not far outside of it at all is Aspley Guise/Woburn area.
(in the right light/weather, can look seriously beautiful, as can Ridgmont. Depends what your after I guess!)

I think that everyone has mentioned quite a few opportunities however
DON'T FORGET THE CONCRETE COWS :D

And where may I find such creatures? :)

the cows are located next to the H3 Monks Way between V5 Great Monks St. and V6 Grafton St.) where it passes under the West Coast Main Line, near its junction with the A5.
They will be on your left coming from the V5 heading to the V6
