We are going to be replacing our home phones (base+phone and 3 extensions) with voicemail.

Ideally, we'd like a set that you can also input a number into one phone and it copies across to others.

We're not bothered about it being a colour screen or for that matter too expensive as they don't get lots of use nowadays.

I think Panasonic sets do the address book copy, as above?

Anybody got any recommendations and experiences?

Thanks

Although a couple of years old now my phone is Panasonic KX-TG6621E, at the time it came with base phone/answer machine and two extra handsets. You only need enter your phone numbers into one phone (anyone of the three) and it will automatically enter the details into the remaining phones.
It also has a call blocking thingamyjig so when you get these unwanted market research cold callers which some are daft enough to leave their number it can be added to the call blocked list. Next time they call they get the engaged tone.
I read somewhere most panasonic phones have these functions nowadays, and maybe even more functions. Cost me about 40 quid from Comet if I remember correctly.

Thanks Frank

I'll take a look at the Panasonics - that sounds to be what we want.

Another vote for Panasonic here, easy to set up and excellent call quality.

We've Panasonic phones and have had for a good number of years and would def recommend them. Easy to use and good, clear sound...

If / when we need new home phones, we'll be getting some more...

I'm sure I've read about phones that can block known numbers, but can also be set up to block any number that isn't programmed into its approved list? As far as I can remember, the phone doesn't ring, it just plays a message along the lines of 'You are not authorised for this number' and terminates the call. Anyone know anything about this?

Martyn, from my brief research the Panasonic will return an engaged tone for any blocked numbers.
