Recommend me a CF card for Canon 7D

Just brought a 7D about a month ago, I been using my SD cards in a converter to a Compact Flash Card, if I was to buy an CF card, what would you recommend?, I do shot from landscapes to mainly motorsports, so whether speed of card is important?

Only when I got the camera I didn't realise how expensive the CF Cards are :O
 
The cost of CF cards compared to that of cameras and lenses is small. It pays to get a good brand. I've only ever used Sandisk Extreme 8Gb cards in my 7D. They have never let me down and are plenty fast enough.
 
I always buy sandisk cards- just be aware there are some fake cards kicking about.
All my CF cards were 2nd hand- sandisk have up to 10 30 year or lifetime warranties(!)

I think you'll find 50 or 60 MB/s is plenty fast enough- I doubt the 7D will take advantage of anything quicker. Oh and unlike some rivals sandisk quoted speeds are generally accurate.
Don't 'invest' in lots of super swanky memory- it'll be worth a fraction of what you paid in 12 months.

So yeah, as Yellowbelly says- but with more words...
I think I paid £14 for 8GB cards and about £37 for a 32GB- all Extreme 60mb jobs- so I think the 32gb is the sweet point price wise-assuming you need that much storage.

Just buy something branded from a good source they are all much of a muchness I've used Sandisk lexar and Kingston and couldn't tell the difference.
 
I have to say I have a mix of cards for my 7d including Sandisk. Then I decided to try a 7dayshop card. Cheap as chips and works fine.
 
I got some Duracell 16Gb CF cards for my 5D3 and 7D and they've been superb. The read/write speed is fast enough to cope with everything I've taken with them. I've got a few spare now as I've swapped the 7D for a 70D which takes SD cards but they CF cards will get used in my 5D3 still. I've got a Verbatim and Sandisk CF card as well but I don't think I've even used them yet as I've just stuck to the Duracells.
 
I used to always use sandisk or transcend cards but a year ago I bought some Kingston 16gb 600x speed cards and they have been brilliant, very fast and I use them for shooting rugby games all the time. You can get 16gb ones for about £26 on Amazon.
 
Sandisk or Lexar cards are what I use and always recommend them...

I think the main thing is to buy them from a reputable place so as to avoid fakes.

Any well known brand and not from ebay is just about all you really need to know.

I've stopped getting Sandisk , and now stick to Transcend or Delkin, but have Lexar and Fuji also,none have ever failed.

Thing with Delkin you can buy them direct from them ensuring they are genuine.

Why cf? Expensive and unless your likely to run your geat over pretty pointless investing in them if you have sd cards already
 
I always use Transcend and have never had any issues, so am unable to comment on other makes.
 
I swear by sandisk extreme and extreme pro cards, never let me down, normally go for the 16gb ones
