Recommend me a Canon film camera

I have a 40D, all my lenses are EF, so I presume they will fit on any film EOS camera, am I correct?

If so, can you guys recommend me a Canon film camera, compatible with my EF lenses as I have a little yearning to have a bash and relive the old times. Dont want to spend much, up to £50 or so tops, as its just a see what happens at the moment.

Which models would I be searching ebay for that are in a similar vain to the 40D, ie with some auto facilities and obviously manual controls.

Pop up flash would be handy too if any have them?

You are safe with any of the EOS film cameras as far as I know. Not sure about the older stuff though.

I have an EOS10 and it is fine with the EF lenses. You can pick those up for £35 I reckon.
 
I've got a Canon EOS 100 compatible with all my EF lenses.

Any of the (at the time) entry level EOS can be picked up second hand for under £50. As you go up to the pro user types you get more focus points, eye controlled focus etc etc but no pop up flash...
 
I have got an EOS600 thats in the for sale forum if you do a search, its supposed to be a good camera but as I don't use film I have no idea!! It takes the same lenses as I have on the 40D.
 
there another in the for sale section been sold with lens, films etc etc for £50 pearce_jj is selling it
 
I wanted to give film a go so I did it on the cheap I picked up an EOS 300 (Bottom of the range silver plasticyness) with a kit lens. I flogged the kit lens which got back 90% of my outlay so I had a film body for less than £5.
 
The EOS film range is the same as the EOS digital range, the less digits the higher up the range, with EOS 1s being the best (and most expensive)
 
I'm not really able to properly "recommend" this camera, as I only bought it last week and the new lens arrived today, so I haven't shot anything with it yet. But, they cost around the £50 mark (God knows what they cost when new ;)) and should work just fine with your EF lens collection :).

You have a few modes, as well as full manual control, pop-up flash, eye control focus (spookily good fun to use :p) and it's a full-size (well, 50D size, at least) body. It is all shiney (creaky) plastic on the outside, but I don't know if it's covering a metal shell or not :thinking:. Still, we're talking about a camera that's going to cost the price of 1/2 a tank of petrol, so ....

I've got an EOS 5 too, great camera especially for £30 like I paid!

They are unbelievably cheap :)! I'm half tempted to by up even more film cameras, in case there's a resurgence of interest in film in a few years time ;)!
