Hi Guys
I'm thinking of resurrecting my grandads old Zeiss Ikon Super Ikonta.
as far as i can tell the only thing wrong with it is a loose aperture blade
worth a go?

Depending on the model that might be quite valuable. If a after a quick check it turns out to be I'd get it fixed professionally rather than risk a good camera with some sentimental value.

Miles Whitehead is our usual go to guy. He's very reasonable but very busy so it may take a while for him to get it repaired.

Another vote for Miles. Nice guy to deal with but he is busy. He has my Hasselblad at the moment and I think his wait time is a few weeks right now.

Thanks Guys
as for the model its a 532/16.
no idea if that makes it a rare one or not but i know it was one of his most prized posessions

repair timeframe isn't too important but its something i'd definitely look at doing.
is film still available for these things?

i also recently discovered some of his old slides & his noris projector in a cupboard but have yet to test its operation..

Just spoke to Miles, thoroughly nice chap.
thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys

next dummy question....

best place to get some 120 film?

With regard to film and these cameras you would be advised to read this article on frame spacing problems

I can not find the link at the moment but someone suggest just taping say two inches of gafer / duct tape onto the leader I find that that sort of mostly works with my Super Ikonta IV 534/16.
