Recommend a portable external hard drive ?

I'm just looking for a portable hard drive that I can plug in now and again to back up the contents of an existing 500GB external hard drive.

Reliability matters however It doesn't need to be bullet proof as it's just for home use.

I like the Samsung range, often available at Amazon for around£50 / 1GB.

Can't link as I'm on phone but they are worth a look.

I've had good experiences with a couple of Tosh desktop external drives. Retired my 1TB drive a year ago after 4 years continuous use (time machine backup to a Mac) and replaced it with a 2TB USB 3.0 drive about this time last year.

Portable drives around £51 for 1TB, £90 for 2TB
