Hello,

Looking for a good monitor for editing my photos on, ideally would like an apple screen but at the moment cant justify the purchase, so looking for an alternative with a nice large screen that i can connect to Macbook.

Any suggestions welcome.

Dell Utrasharps are well recommended. Look at the U2410, U2711 and U2412M
 
Apple screens are actually not that great. Why you want an Apple screen?

What's your budget? I can recommend quite a few monitors, but I'll need to know your budget.
 
I've no idea if these work with Macs but I've a couple of Dell 2209WA screens and they work a treat. Around £120 each of eBay if I remember correctly. I am sure later Dell Ultrasharp monitors would be good alternatives too.
 
Budget, and in your workspace what is a definition of a "large screen"? 23, 24, 27, 30 inches?
 
I've got a Dell 2209WA and my second monitor will hopefully be replaced soon by a Dell U2410 as it ticks all the right boxes for me.

What's your budget? If you've plenty of cash Eizo's are the top end of the $$$ scale
 
Just got a Dell U2412M and it is stunning with full size files from 5Dii
 
HP ZR22w is a good full HD 21.5" IPS screen - used one for almost 3 years now and difficult to fault really.

I notice there is one on ebay for £100 (not mine!)
 
Dell U2412M is the only real contender for that price.
 
I also have a Dell 2209 and am happy with it. Have a look on hot deals you will find a number of offers on the Dell ips ones.
