Yes
Hi, I'm looking for a bag that will accommodate a 5d mkIII with a tamron 24-70mm attached while maintaing as low a profile as possible. I'm struggling a bit, I've got a lowepro small rucksack style bag but the lens sticks out of the top of that, and Jessops sent me a free manfrotto 'shoulder bag V' when I got the camera but the 24-70 is too big for that too.

Any recommendations would be great, but I just want to be able to pull it out and use it on holidays etc, so the lens being attached is my main priority.

Thanks.

I have a Lowepro Passport Sling that takes my 5D3 and 50-500 (just).

What style of bag do you want? Rucksack? Shoulder bag? How much space do you want for stuff other than camera kit? What size overall do you prefer?

I use my Lowepro passport sling a lot and I can get a 6D with 24-105 attached and a Sigma 180 macro in it plus some filters etc. It has a zip so you can expand/reduce the capacity. The only slight thing that would improve it is some velco on the external pockets because I am a tad worried that something will fall out, but it never has and is not a show-stopper.

I'd go with the retrospective 7 as well. Had mine for a year or so

I have a lowepro hatchback 22l looks like a normal bag and access to the camera pouch of on your back, I found it a good holiday bag of your sensible about how much gear to take :)

Similar, but I use a 16L version when I'm travelling light. It will take my D800 + 24-120 f4 mounted with space for my Samyang 14mm but not much else in the camera section whilst retaining a useful upper compartment for the various odds and sods you need on holiday etc.

I use the Bilingham Hadley Pro - it fits my D750 & 24-120 with space for another lens or 2. It doesn't look big from the outside but you can fit a fair bit in, it also comes wether sealed without the use of a jacket. Sure it's a bit pricey but it's a once in a lifetime purchase.

A lot of good suggestions here. Thanks to everyone for their response. I'm liking the look of the hadley pro. Its good that it doesn't scream 'I'VE GOT A CAMERA INSIDE ME'...it could be carrying anything.

Cheers

Another vote for the Thinktank Retrospective 7 but go for the pinestone version as it just looks like a normal bag with no identifying labels on the front (there is a small Thinktank label on the back which is not visible when carrying). Good solid bag with a comfy thick strap and it has that 'old' look about it even when new. :)

Love my Billingham Hadley - 5dmkiii with 17-40 F4L and space down the side for 70-200 f2.8, pockets on front for flash and bits and bobs - if I'm not shooting sports action then that's my go to set up

Billingham is the best you can buy give it serious consideration

Another vote for the retro 7 and the photo hatchback, I have both and can use either, I tend to use the back pack as it's easier to carry for longer and the top section is useful for non photography stuff

I have a Hadley Pro and a Retrospective 20. The Retro's a great bag and can fit my 5d2 or 7d when they have a grip and my 70-200VC attached. However if using gear that will fit then I prefer the Hadley Pro.

I have the Billingham Hadley and it would fit this kit in no problem. Looks professional as well. Have a look at Amazon they often have them at really good prices.

Think Tank Urban Approach 10 is my new day bag. Designed for mirrorless and specs say its not wide enough for my kit but it fits in there great. It's smaller than the retro 7 but bigger than the retro 5.

D750 with 70-300 attached or with couple of primes instead. Does not scream camera bag to me and its build is top notch.

Can upload photo if need too see it size wise.

if keeping a low profile is crucial have you considered getting a cheap camera bag insert and using a non camera specific bag?
