can anybody recommend a hardcase for a ring flash unit (elinchrom ranger), one that's deep enough so i can keep the camera bracket attached to it, as that's a pain to re-attach! looked at peli's range, but none that are small enough, and deep enough at the same time :(!

The units a big un to put it mildly. Do you need a real hard case or a rigid one. The reason I ask is that you may find a stationary type plastic storage box may be the answer. Using some foam inserts, the pluck type, may be the easiest answer.

Alternatively give the Flash Center a ring they may have some ideas

yea it is huge, the powerpacks all fit nicely in a case, but the unit is, well, big! i use it alot on location, so needed something that had a handle.

*Talking Heads voice on*........link to nowhere im afraid!.......Talking Heads voice off. lol

Strange, goes straight there on my pc.

Ah, good old google.........

hmmm same :(! tried waterproof-cases.co.uk which stock peli too, but same sizes!

Ah well, just a thought......

Talking Heads were a band from the eighties, they made a cracking record called "Road to nowhere", when you said "Link to nowhere" it kinda reminded me of the song, sorry its a bit strange really.......:coat:

posting the size of the unit - or the size you need would be good - i have a large metal flight type case but may well be to big
